Welcome to Life Matters.

Human life is the source of deep suffering and gorgeous hope. ~Henry James Slack

We each have unique stories of suffering and hope (and lots of in-between stuff, too.) Sharing those stories is a form of therapy that encourages self-discovery, healing, and (occasionally) pee-in-your-pants laughter. Moreover, understanding the moral of the story is often life-changing.

I wanted to reflect on my 50+ years of experience to understand myself better. I suffered for years as a codependent personality. But, it's incredible what we learn about ourselves when we really look hard. Hence, Life Matters was born.

Nobody lives a perfect life. Knowing who we truly are and why leads to acceptance of our personal stories without shame or guilt. It engenders forgiveness and growth. I hope you're encouraged to do the same and reap those rewards.
