I want to thank everyone who offered their best wishes as I began my first cancer treatment. I’m into Week #3 and have tolerated those four white capsules well each morning. My doctor’s office reports that the levels in my weekly blood check are in line with what they expect to see. Fingers crossed, this continues. 🤞🏼
Christmas is the time of year when we take stock of our lives, blessings, and mistakes. I’m especially thrilled to be able to do all the usual things: shopping, wrapping, baking, cooking, etc.
For many years, I took it all for granted. I’m ashamed to say that it even became a nuisance at some point. I wanted to celebrate without all the consumerism that has hijacked our society.
My idea of the perfect Christmas was gathering the family for a special meal and skipping all the gift-giving. Instead, why not make a gift to a local charity to help those in need?
However, with four grandchildren, my excitement for the ‘Santa Claus’ end of things has been invigorated again! Seeing it through their eyes has brought back my childhood memories and the nostalgia that invokes.
In other words, it’s not a nuisance.
This year, I’m especially conscious of my love for family and incredibly grateful to enjoy another Christmas.
Sometimes, a negative experience is enough to make us realize all the positives in our lives (and there are many if we stop and think about them). However, it can be difficult to feel grateful when dealing with serious issues.
For all those folks, I hope they find comfort in loving family and friends, happy memories, and blessings, both large and small.
I wish you all a peaceful holiday season with whatever makes life joyful and meaningful. 🎄 ☮️ ☺️
Glad to see you are doing good with the treatment. Enjoy the holidays! Merry Christmas!
Bestest wishes for Christmas and for your continued treatment.
Sending Loving Kindness your way.
Looking forward to your posts next year.
