I was never a Twitter or X fan and when Elon Musk took over I was even less inclined. I am appalled at Ann Coulter's comments. I agree with the right to free speech, but there is no room for that garbage.

Ann Coulter is famous for being awful. Isn't it a shame that people can get rich by being nasty human beings?

Sometimes I'd like to go back to a world without 24/7 news and social media so I could be blissfully ignorant about all the ugliness again. 😔

Hi, This one really went beyond - in my opinion for some reason. So true about the news and social media.

I just canceled my check mark yesterday. I got on X to use it for marketing. After two years I get nothing but political rants, images of birds, and vulgar, liberal comments and images that are enough to make me weep. I'm running out of social media platforms to engage with, maybe it's a good thing.

I applaud you. I joined Twitter way way back in my writing life but found I disliked the 140 character rule. I used it less and less and finally, when Musk took it over, because I dislike the unprincipled man that he is, I closed my account and never looked back.

I can't believe the comments on Gus Waltz. I'm not American, and possibly have no right to comment but that sort of hate-talk, belittling, bullying - call it what you will - has no place in any society.

As the world knows, its Trump's modus operandi and it's infected so much of the American world. I hope with every fibre of my being that the man loses the election for America's sake and for the image that America is showing the rest of the world.

Yes, to all your thoughts!

Social media was created to be a place where like-minded people could gather and share. Unfortunately, it offered the same for bad actors. They received affirmation from their tribe for bad behavior previously unacceptable by the majority. It encouraged them, and now they do & say whatever they want…laws and norms be damned.

There are more good people than bad, but the hateful people get most of the attention. Thank you for the positive vibes regarding the election; we need all the support we can get. It’s going to be a dealbreaker for somebody.
