The garden - a panacea for so much.

Yes! If I had known sooner, I would have started one in 2016 when 47 was elected for the first time.

Thanks, Elaine. I've been feeling terrific, completely recovered from that last infection, and I've regained my energy!

My goal is to stay healthy, which is easier in the summer months. I'm trying to come up with a plan to avoid all the nasty germs, from masking to nasal irrigation to switching to antibacterial hand soaps. Feeling great is worth the effort!

Yay! I’m so glad to hear this. 🥳 What a sweet thing you DIL did with those paving stones. Hope you’re getting in lots of happy grandchildren time. 😚

Love all the fir trees too 🌲

Actually, those are arbor vitae trees. They surround my backyard and serve as a wonderful, natural border that provides privacy and the illusion that my neighbors aren't quite as close as they are. I don't mind living in a residential neighborhood; actually, I feel safer than in more isolated locations. But it's still nice to feel the "solitude" (even if the lawn mowers and blowers are a constant reminder that I'm not alone!) 🤣

And omg the politics! I work in petrochemical journalism so it’s a bit nuts with all the tarrifs and how it will very very very negatively impact American prices (and global prices) if they happen. Not to mention the lack of human rights. 🙈😱😭😳

I've never been ashamed to be an American, but I am now. Even though I voted for "her" twice (Hillary and Kamala), Trump and his enablers are a horrible reflection on ALL of us.

I want to do my part to fight this slide into authoritarianism, and yet I want to run away from all of it. Finding out that half of this country is either racist, misogynistic, stupid, selectively uninformed, or just don't give a damn, was a wake-up call I never expected. I knew there were people like that, just not in the vast numbers that it actually is. And it makes me sick. 🤮

I also voted for Hillary and Kamala but it is sad sooo many people would rather this than an educated woman. 😱😭🙈 And I get why billionaires are happy but the masses surely have to see that the economy is not improving?! Do they live under a rock?

Hopefully, more people will wake up and realize that 47 is only in it for himself. As we lose/pay more for healthcare, as prices remain high (tariffs), as we lose the freedoms and rights that we've always enjoyed, MAYBE more people will understand the consequences of voting for a "strongman." (It cracks me up to use that word concerning Trump and his bone spurs.)

There's nothing strong about him; he's all bluster. But, as they dismantle our democracy bit by bit, will there be another election where we can vote for someone legitimate and qualified, who respects the rule of law? That's my daily fear as we wait and watch.

I’d like to think these people will see but I don’t think they even care. 😱😭 but 🤞🏻I have hope for a bright future. That’s all we can do! Live in hope. 🥰🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
