I realised that as I reached a place in my life where it looked good, that it inevitably meant my parents were reaching the end of theirs (one through COPD, one from stroke) and like you, was ineffably glad they didn't live to see Covid.
Strange times over the last five or so years, but so much that was good as well.
Strange times indeed. I hadn't thought about these last years collectively, but when I did it sure brought me down. However, as we learn through life, hard times pass and we usually come out a bit stronger and wiser because of them.
As far as the leukemia, it's a slow developing sort for which there are good' treatments (doctors words.). I'm grateful for that. Thank you.
